C & C Process Server Reading

Process Server Reading

What exactly is a Process Server Reading?

Once you work with a Process Server they’ll deliver legal documentation (serve) to a person or defendant as part of a lawsuit.
If somebody doesn’t pay child support, goes into bankruptcy by not paying bills, breaks their rental agreement illegally, or is otherwise instructed to attend court, they need to be provided an order advising them of forthcoming charges as well as the date of proceedings. The individual(s) who submitted the notice of the concerned courts is liable for notifying the defendant. Even during this technical age, a phone call or e-mail will not be sufficient; the law expresses that the defendant should be instructed face-to-face of the imminent proceedings against them. However, not just anyone can serve the court documents. That’s where the process server comes in.

A ‘Substituted Service’ could, in certain instances be presented should the Process Server is unable to deliver the paperwork. A ‘Substituted Service’ means that the Process Server can deliver the notice by posting through a letter box, or fixing to a front door so that it can come to the attention of somebody stepping into the home.

Generally Speaking, What Official Documents will a Process Server Reading Serve?

Where proof of service is required, a Process Server will hand deliver those documents.
Such as:

• Bankruptcy Petition
• A letter to an Injunction Order
• A service of Statutory Demand
• Divorce Petitions
• Orders issued under the Children’s Act
• Family Proceedings
• Insolvency document
