Engaging the Services of a Process Server Derby
Exactly what is a Process Server Derby?
If you engage a Process Server he or she can distribute official papers (serve) to the individual or defendant associated with a lawsuit.
Anytime someone is needed visit court, be it a bankruptcy case, breaking a rental agreement, or a child support lawsuit, a court date should be established and paperwork are going to be distributed. Those papers would have to be ‘served’ . The individual(s) whom filed the notice of the involved courts is responsible for informing the individual. What the law states is that the individual has to be advised of the proceedings against them in person, even in this technological age. But because of the legal requirements with regard to serving such a notice, not just anybody can present them. That’s where a process server comes in.
In case a Process Server is not able to deliver the notice directly to the defendant, they will also affect service by way of ‘Substituted Service’. A ‘Substituted Service’ means that the Process Server can deliver the written documents by posting through a letterbox, or attaching to the door so that it will come to the attention of any person going into the building/home.
